I have a 2008 Mk5 1.4 TSI 122bhp Estate, with less than 30k miles and No 4 cylinder had rings disintegrate and scored the bore. the Paperwork/Stickers say the Engine type is 'BLG', which all the blurb says should be a twin charge 170bhp engine. I was expecting from what I have read, that it should be

Hi and apologies if this has been asked and answered before. I am looking at buying a 2011 Golf 1.4 TSI - the 122 bhp version not the GTI. There is a lot of info on the internet about cam chain failures on the TSI engines but I would like to know if VW have addressed this and, if so, when. VW Golf - VW 1.4 TSI 160 - Ian91 : Snap again - I have the 1.4 TS DSG 122bhp model 6 months old and also have this problem. Its my 3rd golf and this is the first one that puts out white smoke even when the engine has warmed up and the outside temperature is above 10c. HvURyc.
