Mar 8, 2022. #1. Hi, we have had a Humax DTR2000 for around 5 years now. We have no problems with it, but have recently bought a new 4K TV. The picture quality from the Humax box is OK, but not great. Would buying a new Freeview box, such as the Manhattan T3-R, be a noticeable improvement in picture quality?

It could even be argued that, as the first to market, Humax, with its launch of the HD-Fox T2, isn't late at all. The set-top-box specialist is, relatively-speaking, ground-breakingly early.
Wait until the TV is on before you fire up the Fox. The two stage system load followed by the application firmware, with blanked screen in between, seems to corrrect most problems. If it is happening in the middle of viewing, try changing the HDMI lead for one costing the least you can find, certainly less than a couple of quid for a short one.
